Homage to the Bibliophile


The pleasure of holding in your hands an incunabulum or a book of which few copies survive; the experience of smelling and admiring thousands of volumes in floor-to-ceiling bookcases; the more and the less recognizable names stamped on the flyleaf, and the appreciation of a book uniquely bound or stamped, are some of the reasons why some people become book lovers. A bibliophile is a zealous lover of the past, an avid and erudite reader and, above all, the defender of the wisdom contained within the covers of a book.
