Exhibitors

What should I do as a first-time exhibitor?
Fill out and mail your stand application. We will confirm receipt of your application and send you further instructions. Consult the participation policies.

When and where can I pick up my exhibitor's badge and welcome bag?
Beginning Friday, November 28, 2013 from 8:00 to 20:00, in the Exhibitors Services Desk at the Business Center.

Where is the Business Center?
In the Blue Pavilion of the International Area, street ΡΡ (See floor plan).

What services are available in the Business Center?
Exhibitors Services Desk, e-mail services, cafeteria service, tables for business meetings, and courier service.

Who has access to the Business Center?
All exhibitors and visiting professional bearing a badge.

What services are offerd at the exhibitions center and how can I hire them?
Expo Guadalajara offers internet services, land phone lines, stand cleaning servicer, additional hours for set-up and dismantling, forklifts rental.

What are the days and hours for professionals?
Monday 1, Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 of December from 9:00 to 17:00.

What do the companies participating as exhibitors have the right to?
Apart from the assigned exhibition space, the exhibitor has the right to be included in the Exhibitors Catalog, to receive name badges and printed catalogs according to the size of the stand, receive discounts on airlines and hotels, participate in many of the free programs that may increase their possibilities of doing business, the use of the professionals’ Business Center for business meetings or accessing the internet, and attend different forums, meetings and book presentations that do not require previous registration.

What kind of professionals attend each year?
Rights agents, publishers, booksellers, distributors, librarian, illustrators, promoters of reading, translators, scouts and writers.

How can I find out which titles are being exhibited at FIL?
The Books Catalog is an on-line search engine that allows locating the available titles that publishing houses have at their stands.

What is needed to present a book at FIL?
Fill out the book presentation request form and send it by fax (+52 33) 3268-0936 or email to a josue.nando@fil.com.mx

Any cultural institution, author or publisher, foreign or domestic, can present literary novelties as part of the FIL program. An exhibition stand is not required.

Who can help me with hotel reservations?

  • To facilitate your visit, FIL offers accommodation support for the following professionals: literary agents, booksellers, distributors and librarians.

How can I receive airfare discounts?
Every year several airlines offer airfare discounts for FIL registerd attendants. For more information, please refer to our Travel page or contact the Travel Services Coordinator: Yolanda Herrera, e-mail yolanda.herrera@fil.com.mx

How can I receive information about FIL?
We publish all our press releases in the Press section. People wishing to receive information in their inbox may register to our electronic mailing list. To do so, please fill out our on-line request form.
