The Fernando Benítez National Cultural Journalism Award was created to promote quality journalism in Mexico and an effort to maintain the revealing and integrating view of journalist Fernando Benítez on arts and daily life. All along its history it succeded in attracting the most briliant cultural journalism made in Mexico.
