Translation and interpreting: a two-way path bridging worlds

This year marks the 28th edition of the Mexican Translators Organization annual conference, OMT, within the International Guadalajara Book Fair program of activities and events. The conference will take place from November 30 to December 1, and it welcomes OMT members as well as translators and interpreters from all over the world. The central theme for 2024 is “Translation and interpreting: a two-way path bridging worlds”, and it encompasses a myriad of topics related to translation and interpreting from multiple approaches such as training, practice, occupational aspects, social and professional recognition, etc. The central theme is also a point of departure for sessions and lectures related to research fields, interests and expertise of the more than twenty speakers involved.
