Fernando Benitéz National Tribute To Cultural Journalism
The Fernando BenÃtez National Tribute to Cultural Journalism honors the influence of the journalist, writer, historian, and anthropologist whose work renewed the concepts and styles that shaped Mexico’s cultural press during the second half of the twentieth century. Heir to a journalistic tradition that emerged in the late nineteenth century, BenÃtez established a way of understanding culture and narrating the country that influenced several generations.
Through this recognition, the Guadalajara International Book Fair celebrates the strength of his legacy and annually acknowledges outstanding figures who have made significant contributions to the development of cultural journalism in Mexico.
