Inclusion Space
There are approximately 285 million visually impaired people in the world, of which 39 million are blind and 246 million have visual impairment. The number of visually impaired children is estimated at 19 million. This is a population with limited access to many cultural events and products.
As an institution dedicated to reading promotion, the FIL Guadalajara is committed to provide access to culture for as many people as possible, regardless of their personal circumstances. This project is aimed at people with visual impairments, the FIL inclusion agenda contemplates:
- Protecting the conditions of equality
- Raising visitors’ awareness
- Providing tools that facilitate freedom of movement
- Promoting the use of accessible formats
Social responsibility is a continuous and joint commitment, so we invite you to participate with us in the inclusion space, which will be located in the international area and will host a maximum of twelve companies during the nine days of the Fair.
