Creating readers

Poetry Program

Created to give a more significant role to poetry within the literary program, the Guadalajara International Book Fair created the Poetry Program in 2008 in order to increase the diffusion of the genre.

Throughout nine sessions, the public has the opportunity to listen to poets read a selection of their favorite poems. The idea is to connect the public with the writers that have created unforgettable texts and to allow them to realize the exact nuance of each verse, those imperceptible twists of language that make the difference between simple words and phrases that come to life and take your breath away.
