European Literature Festival
“Literature allows us to become contemporaries of all men and citizens of all countries.”
Event that has its antecedent in the European Literature Festival that was developed in 2007 to celebrate 50 years of the European Union, it took place in different locations in Mexico and takes place in the Guadalajara International Book Fair since 2011.
Addressing topics such as passion and hope, the European Literature Festival has been the point of convergence, reflection and discussion of literary works of a diverse group of authors from different regions of Europe.
The aim of this meeting is to deepen the literary exchange between European Union member countries and Mexico offering Latin American readers a panorama of contemporary literature from the Old Continent and showing them that diversity and multiculturalism are features that allow the harmonious coexistence between countries of the European Union.
