Poetry Program

With the aim of giving greater prominence to poetry within the literary program, the Guadalajara International Book Fair created the Salón de la Poesía in 2008, a space designed to contribute to the wider dissemination of this genre.

Over the course of several sessions, audiences have the opportunity to listen to poets reading a selection of their own works. These encounters bring attendees closer to those who give life to unforgettable verses and allow for an appreciation of the precise nuances of language, those subtle turns that transform words into emotion and breath.
