European Literature Festival
A continent full of history shows the vitality and modernity that also pervade the region. Young poets, acclaimed prose writers, and exceptional storytellers speak of censorship, borders, bridges, inspiration, and identity.
Readers will be taken on a journey through Germany, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Sweden, transported by the astounding literary quality of the authors who make up this edition.
Coordinated by the Delegation of the European Union in Mexico, in cooperation with the embassies of its member states and the FIL Guadalajara, this festival celebrates eleven years of intertwining Europe and America through literature, and of becoming the common ground where authors from all over the continent celebrate and share the diversity, multiculturalism, and literary richness of Europe.
This literary cycle will offer readers a space in which singular names from a distant continent take shape and face and become pleasant discussions and the next must-read for those who love discovering something new.
