Round Trip” is the motto of this year's guest country at the FIL. In translation, everything is a constant back and forth: between words, possible solutions, interpretations, and conversations between authors of original and derivative works. This motto couldn’t be more fitting to describe our activity, which navigates and revisits paths already traveled by others, yet continues to forge new trails with each translated work. This year, we will explore these trails and the less familiar paths they lead us to, including AI and copyright issues, feminist perspectives in translation, translated works from less-known languages in Mexico, and the effort behind winning a translation award and its impact on future works. We hope you join us and enjoy the journey.
