Inés Fernández Moreno (Buenos Aires, 1947) was an Argentine writer and winner of the 2014 Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize for her novel El cielo no existe. A graduate in Literature from the University of Buenos Aires, she worked in advertising and collaborated with media outlets such as Ñ and La Nación.

She published novels and short stories including La última vez que maté a mi madre, Hombres como médanos, and La profesora de español, and her short fiction has been translated and included in anthologies. Her work combines everyday life with the inner complexity of her characters and is distinguished by its humor, irony, and mastery of narrative planes.
